The One Thing I Learned From My Great Grandmother and You Should Know Too If You Want to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing

In 1850, when she was only 17 years old, my great grandmother, Mathilda, arrived in California with her three older brothers and her parents, who were among the hundreds of thousands of Americans and foreigners who traveled to the Western state in hope of striking gold.

My family's story-book claims that Mathilda, single-handedly, discovered one of the most lucrative gold fields in Sierra Nevada. Another story tells of her forbidden love affair with a married man, who apparently fathered my great grandfather. But I'll tell you about that some other time.

Mathilda, as you can imagine, was a hell of a woman. The unbelievable fortune she had made in 1852 in California was all lost by her grandson, my grandfather, in 1929 in New York, when the stock exchange crashed. Fortunately, she did not live to see it.

Mathilda was one of them. Her legacy is true to this day: "He (or, in her case, She) who dares – conquers."
